Ken Pruitt, President
Ken’s career began in 1977 working for a textile HVAC firm installing duct work in textiles mills throughout the southeast. From 1979 to 1985, he worked for Brent Aire servicing large tonnage chillers, cooling towers, air washers & pumps. From 1985 to 1989, he worked for Chiller Services doing the same. In February of 1989, he started Digitrol, Incorporated. Ken is a licensed mechanical contractor with a H1 and H2 License in NC and a Mechanical License in SC. He has 40 years of experience in the Industrial and Commercial HVAC Market.
Tony Seay, Vice-President
Tony’s career in the HVAC business began in the mid 70’s in the Textile Industry working for Burlington Industries HVAC maintenance team. He serviced and maintained all phases of plant conditions specializing in Chillers, Air Washers, Cooling Towers and Controls. He attended NC Vocational Textile Training School in Belmont, NC specializing in industrial maintenance. In the late 70’s to early 80’s, he worked in the public schools sector in the HVAC service department while attending Gaston College HVAC program. He left the public schools for a career in heavy refrigeration service specializing in the Ammonia Refrigeration Industry. His next step was Chiller Services Inc. in Charlotte NC where he spent the next 12 years in the service industry. He received his unlimited Contractors License in Refrigeration/HVAC in 1989. He joined Digitrol in 1992 to further his career in the industry. He became a partner/co-owner in the company in 1993 continuing to work the service side of the business as Service Manager. He brings 42 plus years of service experience to the table and looks forward to future success of the company in the industry.
Trey Pruitt, Vice-President - Engineering
Trey began his journey at Digitrol in 1996 working during the summer while in high school. After graduation from high school in 1998 Trey attended Appalachian State University and graduated in 2002 with a B.S. in Construction Technology. Upon graduation, he began working full time at Digitrol and attended HVAC classes at Gaston College where he received his degree in HVAC in 2003. Trey went on to earn a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology from UNCC graduating in 2008. He also holds his NC State License in HVAC. He currently performs design, sales, and estimating tasks among many other business management duties.
David McDaniel, Vice-President - Sales
David’s career in the HVAC business began in 1985 as a Residential and Light Commercial HVAC Installer and Service Technician. He then spent ten years in the manufacturing sector with experience that ranged from the fabrication/testing of chillers and process cooling systems, to engineering then finally sales and sales management. His next step was with a manufacturer’s representative for twenty years with the last nine years in the role of Vice President of Sales & Marketing. He has now joined the Digitrol team as the Vice President of Sales. His 30 plus years of experience in the HVAC and Industrial Process markets should be very valuable to our future success.
Maria Postell, Accounting Manager
Maria graduated from West Mecklenburg High School in 1996. She began working at Digitrol in 2006 where she was an Administrative Assistant until she left in 2010 to stay at home with her children. She returned in 2014 as the Accounting Manager. Her duties include managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. She also oversees all Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures. She is imperative in the day to day operations of the company. She is also a Notary Public of NC.
Wayne Postell, Controls Manager
Wayne began his career at Digitrol in 2002 as an Installer. In just two years he began his transition into a Service Technician position focusing on Industrial and Commercial HVAC. He became lead technician specializing in Chillers, Cooling Towers, Air Washers and Controls. He is now the Controls Manager where he specializes in Building Automation. He currently performs design, sales and programming in addition to providing tech support to all of the technicians. He also holds his North Carolina Electrical Contractors License.
